Wie zijn wij?

Met Insight First zijn wij het remote data & BI team voor onze ca 45 klanten. We helpen klanten om inzicht te krijgen in de belangrijkste KPI’s die hun merk laten groeien. We weten welke inzichten nodig zijn, beheersen de techniek om de data binnen te halen, te modelleren én visualiseren dit in een mooi dashboard. Dit doen we momenteel onder andere voor hard groeiende merken als Pink Gellac, Stoov, Buienalarm & Alpine Hearing Protection.

We zijn gespecialiseerd in e-commerce, marketplace (Amazon/Bol) & online marketingdata zoals Google Analytics, Facebook – en Google Ads. Eigenlijk kunnen we alles koppelen, zolang het maar een API heeft. We hebben een eigen kantoor in een verzamelpand waar meerdere start-ups werken tegenover Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn en vlakbij het gezellige Ledig Erf.

Wat ga je doen?

Je bouwt data pipelines, datamodellen en doet analyses. Dat wil zeggen:

• Je richt data warehouses in en haalt data op door middel van ETL tooling of python scripts;
• Je valideert en structureert de data in het data warehouse;
• Je analyseert deze data en bedenkt welke inzichten de klant nodig heeft;
• Je bouwt een strak datamodel waar al deze data in samenkomt;

Je wordt verantwoordelijk voor de modellen van een aantal bestaande en nieuwe klanten. Je werk bestaat dus zowel uit het inrichten van volledig nieuwe pipelines en modellen alsook het beheer van bestaande modellen en het uitbreiden daarvan. Je hebt (inhoudelijk) contact met de klant en werkt samen met collega’s aan klant accounts.

• ETL: o.a. Dataddo, Stitch, Airbyte
• Data Warehouse: Google BigQuery
• Modelleren: DBT i.c.m. Github
• Languages: SQL, Jinja, Python

Wie ben jij / wat heb jij:

• Afgeronde HBO of WO bachelor- of masteropleiding in data- of IT;
• Minimaal 1 jaar werkervaring in een data- finance of IT-functie;
• Kennis of kunde in Python, SQL, ETL tools of Google Cloud is een pré;
• Je werkt zelfstandig en bent oplossingsgericht. Google & ChatGPT kennen voor jou geen geheimen;
• Je houdt van puzzelen, bent analytisch, doortastend en houdt van details;
• Jouw vrienden of collega’s komen voor al hun excel vragen naar jou toe;
• Je bent nieuwsgierig en kunt omgaan met de dynamiek van een klein bedrijf en veel verschillende taken;
• Je bent beschikbaar voor minimaal 32 uur per week;
• Je kunt Nederlands & Engels spreken & schrijven.

Who are we?

At Insight First, we are the remote data & BI team for around 45 fast growing brands. We help clients gain insights into the key KPIs that drive their business’s growth. We know what insights are needed, master the techniques to collect the data, model it, and visualize it in beautiful dashboards. Currently, we’re doing this for fast-growing brands like Pink Gellac, Stoov, Buienalarm, and Alpine Hearing Protection.

We specialise in e-commerce, marketplaces (Amazon/Bol), and online marketing data like Google Analytics, Facebook, and Google Ads. In fact, we can integrate anything as long as it has an API. We have our own office in a startup hub located across from Utrecht Vaartsche Rijn station, close to the lively Ledig Erf area.

What will you work on?

You’ll build data pipelines, data models, and perform analyses. This includes:

• Setting up data warehouses and retrieving data through ETL tools or Python scripts.
• Validating and structuring the data within the data warehouse.
• Analysing the data and identifying which insights the client needs.
• Building a solid data model to consolidate all this data.

You’ll be responsible for the models of several existing and new clients. Your work will include setting up entirely new pipelines and models, maintaining existing ones, and expanding them further. You’ll have direct contact with clients on the content of your work and collaborate with colleagues on client accounts.

Who are you / what do you have?

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree (HBO or university) in data or IT.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a data, finance, or IT role.
• Knowledge or experience in Python, SQL, ETL tools, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• You work independently and are solution-oriented. Google & ChatGPT hold no secrets for you.
• You love solving puzzles, are analytical, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
• Friends or colleagues come to you with all their Excel questions.
• You’re curious and thrive in the dynamic environment of a small company with diverse responsibilities.
• You’re available for at least 32 hours per week.
• Some level of understanding of Dutch is a plus.
